Hull Prairie Road closed two days
Hull Prairie Road between King and Ovitt roads in Middleton Township will be closed Monday and Tuesday
from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for road work.
Crews close Slippery Elm Trail
From Monday through Aug. 28, the Slippery Elm Trail from Sand Ridge Road to Gypsy Lane Road will be
closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Construction of a storm water sewer line by the City of
Bowling Green Department of Public Works will necessitate the need for the closing of the trail to
insure public safety. Every effort will be made to notify the public of any additional necessary closing
of the trail as early as possible.
Pemberville library meeting
PEMBERVILLE – The Pemberville Library Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday for its monthly meeting.
Hydrant flushing continues near Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District’s Maintenance Department is flushing and testing
fire hydrants through Aug. 31 in the unincorporated areas surrounding the City of Perrysburg. The area
covered includes east on Ohio 20 from I-75, south to Oak Meadows and from Perrysburg Heights to
Willowbend subdivision, including all subdivisions not incorporated along Ohio 65 to the west.
Testing will be performed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
Residents may experience rusty water during this period and should run tap water prior to using water for
laundry purposes.
Fostoria library holds book sale
FOSTORIA – The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library will hold its semiannual book sale Saturday from 9 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Items offered include books, videos, books on audiocassette, and magazines along with other miscellaneous
items.
On Monday and Tuesday, remaining items will be priced at "a buck a bag."
