Donations accepted for injured teen

WAYNE – The neighbor of a 13-year-old boy who was struck by a car near his home Monday, is collecting
donated items for the family.
Teresa Harvey, of Wayne, is asking for contributions of money, gas cards or dinners to be given to the
family of Brandon Williamson who was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in critical condition
early this week.
Harvey said the support would be valuable to the family, who moved to the area from out-of-state about a
month ago. She said the family includes three other children.
Elmwood Local Schools is providing them with school supplies, she said.
"When something goes wrong around here, everybody just kind of pulls together and helps out as much
as possible," she said. "And I think it’s a wonderful thing."
Williamson was riding his bicycle west on Ohio 281 around Huffman Road Monday when it veered into the
path of a vehicle that was attempting to pass and was struck, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s
Office.
Those who wish to donate can contact Harvey at (419) 699-3710 to make arrangements for dropping off
items.WAYNE – The neighbor of a 13-year-old boy who was struck by a car near his home Monday, is
