Timeless Treasures
BRADNER – The July meeting was held at the Bradner American Legion Hall with 29 members and one guest,
Sue Older of Bradner, in attendance.
Henry Schroeder gave the table blessing before the picnic-style grilled steak dinner. The steaks were
furnished by Fordyce Lentz and were prepared by Milford Smith, Joe DiSumma and Mike Keller.
President Betty Lombard led the business meeting, at which a vote of thanks was given to Lentz for the
steaks.
"Happy Birthday" was sung to Lombard and "Happy Anniversary" to Carma and Ralph
Schell and Wilbur and Jean Graber.
Following the meeting a clever patriotic trivia game was played. It was prepared by the president and her
sister, Linda Silverwood. Each participant received a box of red, white and blue sparklers.
There will be no August meeting, due to the Wood County Fair. The next meeting will be Sept. 3 at the
Bradner Park. All area seniors are welcome.
